Dear Families,
During health class with Mrs. Kaminski today we discussed healthy snacks as a follow-up to our nutrition and food pyramid lesson. Here is a list of healthy snacks we came up with:
carrots pears apples celery oranges milk grapes bananas
string cheese popcorn whole grain crackers peaches melon
pistachios hard boiled egg
To help you review this list with your child, you can have him or her help you put the above snack foods into the correct food group. Which snacks fit into each of the following categories?
