School Delays and Cancellations

There may be times this winter when, due to inclement weather, school will be delayed 90 minutes or cancelled. These decisions are made by the Superintendent of Schools early in the morning. Both WDEV (550 am) and WCAX (Channel 3) will list schools with cancellations or delays. Moretown Elementary School is part of the Washington West School district. In case of a delay, school will begin at 9:30 a.m. and morning students may arrive anytime after 9:00 a.m. The morning session will end at 11:00 and the afternoon session will remain the same. If your child rides a school bus to school in the morning, it will be 90 minutes late picking up your child.
