Preschool News

Dear Parents,

We have been very busy at school in our “store”, creating snow art work, melting snow and freezing water.  Tomorrow we hope to go snowshoeing.  Please be sure to send winter clothing with your child.  Feel free to join us if you’re available.  The morning group will snowshoe at 10:00 and the afternoon group at 2:00 .

This coming week and next we will delve into learning about primary colors and blending them to create secondary colors.  We will use eye droppers and colored water to mix colors, as well as paint.  We will read several children’s books about color, starting with Mouse Paint.

Next week I hope to transform our collage table into a wood working area.  We are in need of small pieces of pine boards and nails.  Please let me know if you can help with any of these supplies.  Thanks!

The preschoolers will not be participating in

the upcoming concert on January 31st.  Mr. Close and I feel it is best for most preschoolers if their first experience on a stage is not in front of 300+ people. Instead we will have our own night of performing in June with just the preschoolers (similar to last year).  Thanks for your understanding!

Just a reminder that Moretown families with young children are invited to access our preschool classroom on Friday mornings.  From 8:00-11:00 a.m. our classroom is open for Moretown families to come and play.   Lisa is in the classroom; however parents are responsible for supervising their own children.  This playgroup is for Moretown families and follows the school calendar.  If you have neighbors or know of other Moretown families with young children, please spread the word!
